Every ounce hanging off the muzzle changes how a rifle handles, and suppressor weight is the first place worth trimming. The Energetic Armament EA32 is an ultralight 7.62mm end cap assembly built specifically for the VOX line, machined from American-made 6AL-4V titanium. At 0.69 oz, it cuts 0.66 oz off the standard 17-4 stainless cap assembly that ships on the VOX, which works out to nearly a 50 percent weight reduction on that part. That may not sound like much on paper, but weight at the very end of the can is where you feel it most, especially on a lightweight bolt gun or a rifle you carry all day.
Titanium alone would be a solid upgrade, but Energetic went a step further with a Diamond-Like Carbon coating. DLC is one of the hardest, slickest finishes you can put on a suppressor part, so this cap shrugs off carbon buildup, heat, and corrosion better than a bare part would. Fit and machining are what you would expect from Energetic Armament, and the cap threads on and torques down with the standard 1-1/4 inch nose hex, so the wrench that came with your VOX works here too.
This assembly ships with the wipe retainer installed, which is a nice touch since the retainer uses a 9/16 inch socket and keeps everything serviceable down the road. Keep in mind it does not come with a wipe itself, just the retainer hardware.
If you run a VOX S or VOX K and care about keeping your setup as light as possible, this is one of the easiest upgrades you can make. Swap it on in a minute, pocket the stainless cap as a spare, and enjoy a can that carries a little easier and balances a little better on the rifle.
The EA32 is made for Energetic Armament VOX suppressors, including the VOX S and VOX K. It is a direct replacement for the standard 17-4 stainless end cap assembly that ships on those cans. It is not designed to fit suppressors from other manufacturers.
The titanium assembly weighs 0.69 oz compared to 1.35 oz for the factory 17-4 stainless cap, so you drop 0.66 oz, or nearly 50 percent of the cap's weight. Since that weight comes off the very end of the suppressor, the difference in balance is more noticeable than the number suggests.
No. The assembly includes the wipe retainer but does not ship with a wipe. The retainer uses a 9/16 inch socket for service, and the manufacturer publishes info on the wipe material and dimensions if you plan to run one.
The nose hex is 1-1/4 inch, which matches the wrench Energetic Armament supplies with the VOX. A dab of anti-seize on the threads before installation is a smart habit, especially on a part that sees serious heat cycles.
