The Girsan Witness 2311 SCXXX takes the double-stack 1911 everyone has been talking about and shrinks it down into something you can carry all day. You get the crisp single-action trigger and natural grip angle that made the 1911 a legend, paired with a 16+1 capacity that leaves single-stack 1911s in the dust. The 3.4" bull barrel and compact slide keep the footprint tight, while the slim XXX grip module and aggressive texturing give you a hold that stays put through every round.
This is the compact end of the 2311 lineup, built around a reduced grip and low-profile magwell that help it tuck away under a shirt. It feeds from Girsan's double-stack 1911 pattern magazines and ships with a 16-round Check-Mate mag. The ambidextrous thumb safety works for righties and lefties alike, and the accessory rail up front gives you a spot to hang a light or laser when you set it up for home defense.
The slide comes cut for the RMSc footprint, so popular micro red dots mount directly without needing an adapter plate. If you'd rather run irons, the low-profile 3-dot sights are ready to go out of the box and make a solid backup even after you add a dot. Front and rear slide serrations give you plenty of purchase for press checks and racking.
If you love the feel of a 1911 but want modern capacity in a package that actually conceals, this one hits the mark. It splits the difference between a range toy and a serious everyday carry gun, and it does it at a price that keeps the double-stack 1911 world within reach for regular folks rather than just the boutique-brand crowd.
Yes, the slide is cut for the RMSc optic footprint, so compatible micro red dots mount directly without an adapter plate. It also comes with low-profile 3-dot iron sights for a backup or for shooting without a dot. This gives you flexibility to set it up however you shoot best.
It runs Girsan's double-stack 1911 pattern magazines and ships with one 16-round Check-Mate mag. Spare magazines are available through EAA and its dealers. It does not use single-stack 1911 magazines.
It is. The SCXXX is the compact configuration with a 3.4" bull barrel and a slimmed-down XXX grip module plus low-profile magwell, which makes it easier to conceal than the full-size 2311 models. You still get 16+1 capacity, which is a big step up from a traditional single-stack 1911.
No, this compact XXX configuration drops the grip safety in favor of an internal automatic firing pin block. You still get an ambidextrous thumb safety that works for both right and left handed shooters. The firing pin block handles drop safety internally.
