The SureFire DS07 is a dual-switch tailcap assembly built for the Scout Light WeaponLight series, and it solves one of the most common headaches with a weapon light: reaching the switch without shifting your grip. It swaps out your existing tailcap and gives you two independent ways to run the light. There's a click on/off pushbutton right on the tailcap, plus an ST07 remote tape switch on a 7-inch cable that you can position wherever your support hand naturally rests on the rail.
The beauty of the DS07 is redundancy. The built-in pushbutton and the remote tape switch work completely independently, so if one ever goes down you still have a way to activate your light. The remote pad delivers momentary-on activation, meaning light only when you press it, which is exactly what you want for target ID and quick checks. Meanwhile the pushbutton gives you a constant-on click for when you need hands-free light. Both are there when you need them.
This is SureFire, so durability is baked in. The two-piece housing is O-ring sealed and fully waterproof, ready for rain, mud, dust, and whatever else the field throws at it. The housing also swivels, letting you rotate the pushbutton to the exact spot you want it. A built-in system-disable feature keeps the light from getting bumped on inside a bag or case, so you're not draining batteries when you didn't mean to.
The 7-inch cable length is sized for most rifle and carbine builds, giving you enough reach to mount the pad on your forend without a bunch of extra slack flopping around. It fits Scout Light WeaponLights equipped with plug sockets, and the tan finish blends right in with FDE rifles and gear. Installation is straightforward, thread off your old tailcap, thread on the DS07, tape the pad where it feels natural, and you're running.
The DS07 is designed for SureFire Scout Light WeaponLights that use a plug socket. It replaces the standard tailcap on those lights. If your Scout Light accepts a remote switch plug, the DS07 will work with it.
The 7-inch remote tape switch is momentary-on, so the light stays on only while you're pressing the pad. For constant light, you use the click on/off pushbutton built into the tailcap. Having both means you get momentary control and hands-free light in one assembly.
The DS07 uses a 7-inch cable, which is sized to fit most rifle and carbine builds. It gives you enough reach to place the pad on your forend without leaving a lot of excess slack. It's a good match for standard-length setups rather than long precision rifles.
