The Dissent MK47 answers a question a lot of folks have been asking for years: what if you could run cheap, hard-hitting 7.62×39 through a rifle with AR-style ergonomics that still feeds from AK magazines? CMMG built exactly that, then went a step further by putting it on their bufferless Dissent platform. No buffer tube means the side-folding stock is fully functional, so you can fold it flat for the truck, the safe, or a backpack and still have a rifle that shoulders like a proper carbine when it counts.
The 14.3 inch medium taper barrel wears CMMG's Zeroed SVD brake, pinned and welded at the muzzle to bring the barrel to 16.1 inches. Up front you get a forward non-reciprocating side charging handle, which keeps your firing hand in place and makes running the gun from the shoulder quick and natural. The 13.5 inch free float M-LOK handguard with a full-length top Picatinny rail gives you plenty of real estate for lights, optics, and hand stops. And since the receiver ships without sights, you can set it up your way from day one.
CMMG included an adjustable gas block on this one, which is a bigger deal than it sounds. Whether you want to run a suppressor or just fine-tune the action to your favorite steel-case ammo, you can dial the system in instead of living with whatever the factory picked. The Zeroed 60/90 degree ambidextrous safety and Zeroed pistol grip round out the controls, and the folding stock adjusts for both length of pull and cheek height so it fits shooters of different builds and works with just about any optic setup.

Yes, that's one of the biggest draws of this rifle. It feeds from standard AK-pattern magazines, so surplus mags, PMAGs, and steel mags you already own should run in it. CMMG includes two 30-round magazines in the box to get you started.
The rifle comes with an adjustable gas block specifically so you can tune the system for suppressed shooting or different ammo loads. Keep in mind the Zeroed SVD brake is pinned and welded to the barrel, so mounting a suppressor means working around that fixed muzzle device. CMMG's Dissent platform uses a bufferless operating system that contains the recoil action inside the receiver instead of extending into a buffer tube.
