This one is rated all the way up to 5.7x28mm and carries a full-auto rating on top of that, which is not something you see often in this size class. Credit the Inconel 718 core, the same nickel superalloy used in jet engines, chosen for how well it shrugs off heat and erosion round after round.
At 5.625 inches long with the direct thread mount, 1.125 inches in diameter, and just 5.8 ounces of body weight, the DBS-22i adds very little to your host gun. It threads directly onto any 1/2-28 muzzle, which covers the vast majority of .22 LR pistols and rifles plus popular 5.7 platforms. There is no minimum barrel length requirement either, so short-barreled hosts are fair game. The asymmetric baffle design is tuned to knock down sound and flash while keeping backpressure in check, and since rimfire ammo runs dirty, the can is built to come apart for cleaning. That matters a lot more than people think when lead and carbon start caking up after a few bricks of ammo.
