Description

Desert Tech built its name on bullpup rifles, and the TREK-22 brings that same thinking to the rimfire world. By tucking a 10/22-pattern action into a bullpup chassis, you get a full 18 inch free-floating steel barrel in a rifle that measures just 26.5 inches from muzzle to buttpad. That's a serious amount of barrel in a package short enough to slide behind a truck seat or strap to a pack, and at 4.8 pounds it won't wear you out on a long walk after squirrels or rabbits.

Why the TREK-22 Shoots Above Its Size

Short rimfires often give up accuracy to get there. This one doesn't. The barrel is fully free-floated, and the straight blade trigger breaks at a reduced pull weight right around 3.5 pounds, which is lighter and cleaner than what most factory rimfires ship with. The muzzle comes threaded 1/2×28 from the factory, so adding a suppressor is as simple as spinning one on, and a quiet 22 with this footprint makes a genuinely fun range and small game setup.

Built to Take a Beating and Wear Your Gear

The chassis is injection molded from impact-resistant glass reinforced polymer in a flat dark earth finish, so it shrugs off the bumps and scrapes that come with living in the field or the back of a vehicle. A MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail up top handles your optic, while integrated M-LOK slots and sling studs give you plenty of room for lights, bipods, and slings. All the factory controls stay right where you expect them, and the rifle feeds from standard 10/22 rotary magazines, including higher capacity versions, so mags are cheap and easy to find just about anywhere.

Who the Desert Tech TREK-22 Makes Sense For

Small game hunters who want something compact, newer or younger folks learning the ropes, and anyone hunting for a do-everything rimfire will feel at home here. It ships with a 10-round rotary magazine, ready to top with an optic and head to the range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the TREK-22 take standard Ruger 10/22 magazines?

Yes. The TREK-22 is built around the 10/22 platform and runs standard rotary magazines as well as higher capacity 10/22 mags. Desert Tech designed and validated it with factory Ruger magazines, so sticking with genuine Ruger mags is your safest bet for reliable feeding.

Is the Desert Tech TREK-22 suppressor ready out of the box?

It is. The 18 inch steel barrel comes threaded 1/2×28 from the factory, which is the standard thread pattern for most rimfire suppressors. Just remove the thread protector and spin your can on, no gunsmithing needed.

Does the TREK-22 come with sights or an optic?

No, it ships without iron sights or an optic. The receiver has a full-length MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail on top, so mounting a red dot, scope, or backup sights is quick and easy. A compact red dot or a low-power scope pairs really well with a rifle this size.

How is the trigger on the TREK-22 compared to a standard 10/22?

Noticeably better for most people. It uses a straight blade trigger with a reduced pull weight around 3.5 pounds, which breaks cleaner and lighter than the typical factory rimfire trigger. Combined with the free-floated barrel, it helps tighten up groups at the range and in the field.
