The DeSantis Pro Stealth N87 is one of those holsters that just gets the job done without any fuss. It's built from premium padded ballistic nylon, so it rides soft against your body and stays comfortable through a full day of wear, whether you're sitting at a desk, on your feet, or moving around. The design is deliberately slim and low-profile, which makes it easy to tuck away under an untucked shirt and forget it's even there.
At the heart of this rig is a 1.75-inch powder-coated steel spring clip that grips your belt and keeps the holster locked in place. The clip is removable and reverses to the opposite side, so left-hand and right-hand carry are both covered right out of the package. On auto-loader models like this one, you also get a spare magazine pouch built right into the front of the holster, giving you an extra mag on your belt without needing a separate carrier.
This particular model is sized for most large-frame double-action semi-autos with barrels up to 4 inches. It's a proven fit for a wide range of popular pistols, including the Glock 17, 19, 19X, 20, 21, 22, 23, 36, 45, and 48, along with many SIG, Beretta, S&W, and Springfield full-size and compact autos. The interior is smooth, which means your draw comes out clean and quick with no drag, and re-holstering is straightforward.
Carriers who've run this holster for the long haul tend to praise how well it disappears and how it holds up over time. It's a favorite among people who want dependable nylon carry without the stiffness or bulk of some other options. If you prefer an added layer of retention, DeSantis offers an optional N99 thumb break sold separately. For a simple, comfortable, and genuinely versatile IWB setup, the Pro Stealth N87 earns its keep.
This model is designed for most large-frame double-action semi-auto pistols with barrels up to 4 inches. That covers a broad list, including the Glock 17, 19, 19X, 20, 21, 22, 23, 36, 45, and 48, plus many full-size and compact SIG, Beretta, S&W, and Springfield autos. Because it's a soft nylon holster with some give, it works across a wider range of similar-sized guns than a molded holster would.
Yes. The spring belt clip is removable and can be reinstalled on the opposite side, so the holster works for both right-hand and left-hand carry. That ambidextrous setup is built right in, so there's no need to buy a separate version.
It does. On auto-loader models like this one, a spare magazine pouch is standard and sits at the front of the holster so you can carry an extra mag on your belt. Just note that Pro Stealth models built to accommodate red dot sights do not include the pouch.
Comfort is one of the big reasons people reach for this holster. The padded ballistic nylon rides soft against the body and stays comfortable through long days of wear, and the slim profile helps it conceal well under an untucked shirt. If you want a bit more retention, DeSantis sells an optional N99 thumb break separately.
