The DeSantis Speed Scabbard is one of those designs that has been riding hips for decades because it just works. It is an open-top, outside-the-waistband leather holster built for the Sig P320 and P250 Compact/Carry, and it holds the gun secure through precise molding and a tension screw instead of a thumb break. That means a clean, fast draw with no snaps or straps to fumble, which is exactly what plainclothes and everyday carriers tend to want.
This version is cut to accept a red dot, so it runs the Sig with or without a Romeo1 reflex sight, and it also handles the P320 X-Compact. The unlined leather is molded snug and rides close to the body, and the tension screw near the trigger guard is the piece that makes it yours. Back it off for a quicker presentation, snug it down when you want the pistol locked in tight. Plenty of owners report the fit is dialed in right out of the box with little to no break-in needed.
Three belt slots give you real flexibility in how you wear it. Run the middle slots for a straight, neutral drop, or shift to the forward slots for a cant that tucks the grip in and helps it disappear under a cover garment. The slots take belts up to 1 3/4 inches wide, so a proper gun belt threads right through. It sits high and flat, which is a big reason folks find it comfortable through a long day.
Leather has a feel that Kydex just cannot copy, and this one softens and molds a little more to your gun over time. It is built in the USA and finished in plain black, with reinforced stitching that holds up to daily use. For anyone who wants a straightforward, dependable OWB carry option for their P320 or P250 without a lot of hardware, the Speed Scabbard is a proven pick.
Yes. This model is cut to clear an optic, so it works with the Sig P320 and P250 Compact/Carry whether you have a Romeo1 reflex sight installed or not. It also fits the P320 X-Compact. Keep in mind that very tall aftermarket sights can rub the leather over time, so pistols with standard height sights are the cleanest fit.
It does. Rather than a thumb break, this holster uses precise molding paired with a tension screw near the trigger guard. Back the screw off for a faster draw or snug it down to lock the gun in tighter, so you can set the tension to match how you carry.
You get both. The three belt slots let you run a neutral, straight-up drop or shift to a forward rake that tucks the grip in for better concealment. That flexibility is one of the reasons this design has stuck around so long.
The belt slots are 1 3/4 inches wide, so a standard gun belt threads right through. A stiffer, purpose-built belt will keep the holster stable and riding flat, which makes a noticeable difference in comfort and draw consistency.
