Some muzzle devices try to do everything. The Xeno Xero does one job and does it right: it gives your Xeno-compatible suppressor a rock-solid, repeatable mounting point without hanging a bunch of extra steel off your muzzle. At just 1.105 inches long and 1.6 ounces in this 5/8-32 configuration, it barely registers on the scale, which matters when you're already adding a can to the end of your barrel.
The abbreviated length is the whole point here. Because the Xero doesn't reach as far into your suppressor's blast chamber, it leaves more internal volume for the can to do its work, and that translates to better sound performance compared to bulkier mounts. The generous taper is what handles the return-to-zero duty. Torque the suppressor down, shoot, remove it, reinstall it, and your point of impact stays where you left it. Left-hand threads on the mounting interface keep the can from walking loose under fire, and the built-in wrench flats make installation and removal simple with common tools.
Dead Air machines the Xeno Xero from 4140 heat-treated alloy steel and finishes it in black nitride, so corrosion resistance and wear resistance are baked into the surface rather than coated on top. This is the same no-nonsense construction found across their mounting lineup, and it holds up to sustained strings of fire without complaint.
The Xero works with the full range of Dead Air Xeno adapters, which opens it up to the Sierra 5, the Nomad and Nomad Ti series with a Xeno adapter, the Primal, the Wolfman and Ghost 45 with the Xeno P-Series adapter, and the Wolverine running a HUB adapter. This DA146 version threads onto 5/8-32 barrels and has a bore sized for .45 caliber and smaller projectiles, making it a solid pick for the less common thread pitches found on certain .45 hosts. If you're running multiple guns, grabbing a Xero for each barrel is an easy way to swap one can across your whole lineup.
The Xeno Xero is compatible with all Dead Air Xeno adapters. That covers the Sierra 5, the Nomad and Nomad Ti series with a Xeno adapter, the Primal, the Wolfman and Ghost 45 with the Xeno P-Series adapter, and the Wolverine using a HUB adapter. If your can accepts a Xeno-pattern adapter, this mount will pair with it.
This 5/8-32 threaded version has a bore sized for .45 caliber and smaller diameter projectiles. Within the Xeno Xero lineup, only the 1/2-28 and 9/16-24 versions are restricted to 9mm and smaller, so this one gives you plenty of flexibility. Just make sure your barrel's thread pitch matches the 5/8-32 spec before ordering.
Return to zero is the main reason this mount exists. The large taper interface seats the suppressor in the same position every time you install it, so your point of impact stays consistent between removals. The left-hand threads also keep the can from loosening under recoil during long shooting sessions.
It helps rather than hurts. Because the Xero is only about 1.1 inches long, less of the mount protrudes into the suppressor's blast chamber, which preserves internal volume and keeps sound performance closer to what the can delivers in a direct-thread setup. You also save weight at the muzzle compared to full-size mounting systems.
