Big bore suppressor setups put a lot more stress on a mounting system than your average 5.56 gun, and that is exactly the problem the Xemax Adapter was built to solve. This is Dead Air's Xeno mounting concept scaled up and beefed up for .33 and .45 caliber rifles. Thread it into any HUB-pattern (1-3/8×24) suppressor and you can now mount that can on any rifle wearing a Xemax muzzle brake. Quick on, quick off, and back to the same point of impact.
The heart of the system is a self-aligning taper. As you tighten the suppressor down over the Xemax brake, the tapered surfaces pull everything concentric to the bore automatically. That translates to repeatable alignment every time you mount up, which matters a lot when you are pushing .338 Lapua Mag, 8.6 Blackout, 33 XC, .45-70, or .450 Bushmaster through a can. Dead Air machines the adapter from 4140 heat-treated chromium-molybdenum steel and coats it in black nitride, so corrosion and carbon buildup are easy to manage. At 1.135 inches long, it adds minimal length to your setup.
This adapter was designed with the Nomax 33 and Primal in mind, but it works with any suppressor that accepts the industry standard HUB thread. If you own a Primal and want faster mounting on your big bore rifles, this adapter plus a Xemax brake on each host is the way to do it. One thing worth knowing before you order: Xemax and Xeno are two separate systems. A Xemax adapter needs a Xemax brake, and the smaller Xeno devices will not interchange with it. Also keep your suppressor's bore and caliber ratings in mind when picking hosts.
Beyond convenience, running a brake under your suppressor takes some of the beating off the can's blast baffle, which helps extend suppressor life on hard-hitting cartridges. If your big bore rifles are already wearing Xemax brakes, this adapter is the missing piece that ties the whole setup together.
