Dead Air's flash hiders do a great job keeping muzzle flash tame, but there are plenty of days at the range when you would rather have a flatter shooting rifle and could not care less about the fireball. That is exactly the problem the Pyro 2.0 solves. Instead of swapping muzzle devices, you slide this vented shroud over your existing KeyMo device, snug it down, and your flash hider now behaves like a proper brake. Want the low-flash setup back? Pull the Pyro off and you are right back where you started. The whole swap takes seconds.
This is the complete kit, so you get the KeyMo adapter along with the Pyro vented shroud and a .30 caliber front cap right out of the box. That front cap is interchangeable with Sandman and R-Series front caps, which is a nice touch if you already run Dead Air cans and have spare caps sitting around. The shroud is also HUB compatible, so folks running the Xeno system can drop a Xeno adapter into the Pyro and mount it that way instead. It is a genuinely modular piece of kit rather than a one-trick accessory.
Construction is stainless steel with a black finish, and at 3.2 inches long it keeps the front of your rifle balanced instead of adding a bunch of dead weight out past the muzzle. The recoil and muzzle rise reduction is noticeable, especially on .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor bolt guns and gas guns where follow-up shots and spotting your own impacts matter.
If you are already invested in the KeyMo ecosystem, or waiting on suppressor paperwork with a KeyMo mount sitting on your barrel, the Pyro 2.0 puts that mount to work in the meantime. One muzzle device, two personalities, and no permanent changes to your setup.
Yes, that is exactly what it was built for. The Pyro 2.0 installs directly over Dead Air KeyMo muzzle brakes and flash hiders, converting them into a functioning muzzle brake in seconds. This kit includes the KeyMo adapter, so you are ready to go out of the box.
It is. The Pyro shroud is HUB compatible, so you can install a Xeno adapter (sold separately) into the shroud and run it on Xeno muzzle devices. That flexibility makes it useful across most of the Dead Air mounting lineup.
