Description

Every ounce counts when you're miles from the truck, and that's exactly the thinking behind the Nomad LTi XC. Dead Air took the well-loved Nomad LT, applied additive manufacturing to the baffle stack, and came out the other side with their lightest .30 caliber suppressor yet. The body runs 9.9 ounces of Grade 5 6Al-4V titanium, or 12.2 ounces with the included Xeno adapter installed. This silver version wears a bead blasted raw titanium finish that looks right at home on a stainless barreled hunting rifle.

What Makes the Nomad LTi XC Different

The XC generation brings an enhanced two-stage coaxial baffle system with pressure-harnessing structures that handle everything from mild low-pressure loads to full-house magnums. The extra length of the LTi over the standard Ti XC buys you additional sound reduction and a more pleasant tone, and it's rated all the way up to .300 Remington Ultra Mag with a 4400 ft-lb energy ceiling. That covers 6.5 Creedmoor, .308, .300 Win Mag, and most everything else a hunter or long-range shooter is likely to run. Back pressure is also lower than the previous generation, which your semi-auto and your face will both appreciate.

Mounting the Nomad LTi XC

This kit ships with the DA455 Xeno adapter and a 5/8×24 DA124 Omni Brake, so you can thread the brake onto your muzzle and be shooting the day it comes home. The rear of the can uses the industry-standard HUB 1.375×24 thread, meaning you can swap to Dead Air's KeyMo or a direct thread mount in seconds if your setup changes down the road. Dead Air also beefed up the tool grip section at the base so adapters come on and off without slipping a wrench.

Keep the barrel restrictions in mind: 12.5 inches minimum for supersonic 5.56 NATO and 6 inches for subsonic .300 Blackout, and it's not rated for full auto. For bolt guns and semi-auto hunting rigs, though, this is about as good as the lightweight .30 cal category gets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers can I shoot through the Nomad LTi XC?

It's rated for .30 caliber and smaller cartridges up to .300 Remington Ultra Mag, with a 4400 ft-lb energy ceiling. That covers popular chamberings like .223/5.56, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win, and .300 Win Mag. Just mind the minimum barrel lengths of 12.5 inches for supersonic 5.56 and 6 inches for subsonic .300 Blackout.

How heavy is the Nomad LTi XC compared to other .30 cal suppressors?

At 9.9 ounces for the body and 12.2 ounces with the Xeno adapter attached, it's Dead Air's lightest .30 cal can to date. The 3D-printed Grade 5 titanium construction is what makes that possible, and it's a big deal on a mountain rifle where balance and carry weight matter over long days.

Does the Nomad LTi XC work with other Dead Air mounts?

Yes. The rear of the suppressor uses the HUB standard 1.375×24 thread, so it accepts Dead Air's Xeno, KeyMo, and direct thread mounts. The included Xeno adapter and 5/8×24 Omni Brake get you running out of the box, and swapping mounting systems later only takes a few seconds. Note that some third-party HUB mounts may not fit this model.

Is this suppressor full auto rated?

No, the Nomad LTi XC is not rated for full auto fire. It's built for bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles, where its light weight and strong sound performance really shine. If you need a hard-use full auto can, look at Dead Air's heavier duty options like the Sandman line.
