Description

Dead Air took the Nomad LT, one of the quietest .30 cal cans of the last several years, and put it on a serious diet. The LTi XC uses additive manufacturing to build its two-stage coaxial baffle system straight from Grade 5 6Al-4V titanium, which is how a suppressor this quiet ends up weighing just 9.9 ounces for the body and 12.2 ounces with the Xeno adapter installed. XC stands for Cross-Country, and that is exactly the idea. This is the can you hang on a mountain rifle when every ounce in your pack gets counted twice.

Big Rifle Ratings in a Lightweight Package

Do not let the weight fool you into thinking this is a light-duty unit. The Nomad LTi XC carries a caliber rating up to .300 Remington Ultra Magnum with a 4400 ft-lb muzzle energy ceiling, so it will shrug off everything from a .223 trainer to a full-power magnum elk rifle. The pressure-harnessing baffle structures regulate both low and high pressure loads, which keeps sound performance consistent whether you are shooting subs or screaming supersonics. It also runs with reduced back pressure, a welcome trait on gas guns, and the front cap is replaceable if it ever takes a beating.

Mounting Options That Make Sense

This package ships ready to shoot with a Xeno quick-detach adapter and a DA124 Omni Brake in 5/8-24, so most common hunting and precision barrels are covered from day one. Underneath the Xeno adapter sits an industry-standard HUB socket, meaning you can swap to KeyMo or a direct thread mount in seconds if your setup changes down the road. The titanium outer shell even has aggressive tooling surfaces machined in to make mounting and removal easier with gloved or cold hands.

Why the Nomad LTi XC Earns a Spot on Your Barrel

At 8.8 inches with the adapter, it is long enough to deliver real sound reduction on centerfire rifle cartridges without turning your rifle into a boat oar. For backcountry hunters and long-range guys who refuse to choose between quiet and light, this one checks both boxes and does it with Dead Air's usual build quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers can the Dead Air Nomad LTi XC handle?

It has a .30 caliber bore and is rated all the way up to .300 Remington Ultra Magnum with a 4,400 ft-lb muzzle energy ceiling. That means it covers most popular rifle cartridges below that threshold, including .223/5.56, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win, and .300 Win Mag. The two-stage baffle system is designed to perform well with both subsonic and supersonic loads.

Can I run the Nomad LTi XC with direct thread or KeyMo mounts instead of the Xeno?

Yes. The rear of the suppressor uses the industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB thread pattern, so the included Xeno adapter can be swapped for a Dead Air KeyMo mount or a direct thread adapter in a matter of seconds. One thing worth knowing is that Dead Air notes it may not play well with some third-party HUB mounts, so sticking with Dead Air's own adapters is the safe bet.

How is the LTi XC different from the standard Nomad Ti XC?

The L stands for the longer body. The LTi XC measures 8.12 inches versus roughly 6.35 inches on the shorter Ti XC, and that extra internal volume buys you noticeably better sound suppression. You pay a small weight penalty of a couple ounces, but at 9.9 ounces for the body it is still remarkably light for a can this quiet.

Is the Nomad LTi XC a good choice for a semi-auto rifle?

It works well on both bolt guns and semi-autos, and the baffle design produces reduced back pressure, which helps keep gas out of your face on AR-pattern rifles. Just note it is not rated for full-auto fire, and short-barrel restrictions apply, such as a 12.5 inch minimum for supersonic 5.56. For a dedicated hunting or precision semi-auto, it is a great fit.
