Description

There is a reason the Nomad-30 keeps showing up on best suppressor lists year after year. Dead Air built this can for the person who wants one suppressor to cover just about everything, and it delivers. At 6.5 inches long and 14.5 ounces, it rides comfortably on a hunting rifle without turning it into a boat anchor, yet the fully welded 17-4 PH stainless steel core is full-auto rated and handles cartridges all the way up to the big .300 magnums with no barrel length restrictions. Grade 5 titanium in the thread mount and front cap keeps the weight down where it counts.

Why the Nomad-30 Sounds as Good as It Looks

The tubeless design gives the Nomad-30 more internal volume than its footprint suggests, and the wedge baffle layout with a two-chamber pressure bleed does a great job knocking down first round pop. It runs quiet on .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor, gets impressively hushed with subsonic 300 Blackout, and still holds its own behind a 7mm Rem Mag. Low backpressure also means your semi-auto stays cleaner and you get less gas in the face, something you notice fast on short-barreled ARs.

Mounting Options That Grow With You

Out of the box, the Nomad-30 comes set up with a titanium 5/8×24 direct thread mount, which is all most bolt gun folks will ever need. The rear uses the industry standard 1.375×24 HUB pattern, so when you want quick attach convenience you can drop in Dead Air's KeyMo or Xeno systems, or run just about any third-party HUB mount you already own. Up front, it accepts all of Dead Air's R-Series caps plus the E-Brake, letting you fine tune the bore opening to your caliber and squeeze out every last decibel.

One Can, Every Rifle in the Safe

From deer season to range days to precision matches, the Nomad-30 is the kind of suppressor you buy once and end up moving between rifles for years. It is compact, tough, quiet, and adaptable, which is about everything you can ask from a do-it-all .30 caliber can.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers can I shoot through the Dead Air Nomad-30?

The Nomad-30 covers .30 caliber and smaller, including 5.56 NATO, .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308, 300 Blackout, .30-06, and magnums up to .300 Norma Mag and .300 RUM. There are no barrel length restrictions, so short-barreled rifles are fair game. It is a true one-can solution for most centerfire rifle setups.

Is the Nomad-30 HUB compatible with quick detach mounts?

Yes, the rear of the can uses the industry standard 1.375×24 HUB thread pattern. It ships with a titanium 5/8×24 direct thread mount installed, but you can swap in Dead Air's KeyMo or Xeno quick detach systems, or run third-party HUB mounts from other brands. That flexibility is a big part of why this can is so popular.

Is the Dead Air Nomad-30 full-auto rated?

It is. The fully welded 17-4 PH stainless steel construction carries a full-auto rating, so it will shrug off aggressive fire schedules and hard training days. Despite that toughness, it still only weighs 14.5 ounces, which makes it just as at home on a hunting rifle.

How does the Nomad-30 handle gas and first round pop?

Dead Air's wedge baffle design uses a two-chamber layout that bleeds off excess pressure inside the can, which noticeably reduces first round pop. The design also keeps backpressure low, so semi-auto rifles run cleaner and you get less gas blowback at the shooter's face. You can further tune performance by swapping R-Series front caps to match your caliber.
