Plenty of Saker owners love their can but have never been in love with the mounting system. Dead Air heard that loud and clear and built the KeyMo S Mount (DA429) as the fix. This adapter threads into your SilencerCo Saker or Chimera in place of the factory mount and converts it to Dead Air's KeyMo quick-attach system, which has earned a reputation as one of the most secure and repeatable mounting setups in the suppressor world. Installation is about as simple as it gets: unscrew the old mount, thread the KeyMo on, and you're done.
The big win here is speed and consistency. KeyMo locks up tight with no wobble and returns to the same position every time, which means minimal point of impact shift when you move your suppressor between rifles. Once installed, your can works with the full lineup of Dead Air Key Mount muzzle brakes and flash hiders, so you can leave a muzzle device on each host rifle and swap the suppressor around in seconds. If you already own Dead Air cans running KeyMo, this brings your SilencerCo suppressors into the same ecosystem and lets everything share the same muzzle devices.
Dead Air machines this mount from 17-4 stainless steel and finishes it in black nitride with Cerakote, so it stands up to heat, carbon, and weather without complaint. It measures 1.61 inches in length and weighs in at 4.6 ounces, keeping the added bulk to a minimum.
This is the S Mount version, made specifically for SilencerCo's Charlie-pattern suppressors like the Saker series and Chimera. It is not the HUB version, so if your can uses standard 1.375×24 HUB threads, you want the DA428 instead. Keep in mind you'll also need a Dead Air Key Mount brake or flash hider on the host rifle to complete the system.
The DA429 S Mount is built for SilencerCo's Charlie-pattern suppressors, which covers the Saker ASR series (762, 556, and 556K) and the Chimera 300. Several retailers also list it as fitting other Charlie-thread cans like the Omega 36M and Hybrid 46M. If your suppressor uses standard 1.375×24 HUB threads instead, you need the DA428 HUB version.
Yes, the KeyMo system is a two-part setup. This adapter goes on your suppressor, and you'll need a Dead Air Key Mount muzzle brake or flash hider installed on the host rifle for the suppressor to lock onto. Muzzle devices are sold separately, and many folks pick up one for each rifle they plan to run the can on.
It's a quick swap. Unscrew the factory mount from the rear of your suppressor and thread the KeyMo S Mount on in its place. No gunsmithing required, though a bit of thread prep and proper torque will keep everything seated where it belongs.
KeyMo is known for locking up consistently, which is a big part of its appeal. The mount returns to the same position each time you attach the suppressor, so point of impact shift between removals stays minimal. That repeatability is exactly why so many people convert their SilencerCo cans over to this system.
