Since 1/2×28 is one of the most common thread pitches out there, this single piece opens up a huge range of hosts, from rimfire rifles and pistols to 9mm carbines and standard 5.56 barrels.

No shims are needed since a direct thread mount doesn't have to time to a specific position. Thread it into the suppressor's HUB interface and snug it down with the appropriate wrench. Some folks add a small amount of Rocksett if they want it to stay semi-permanent in the can, but it isn't required. Check that it stays tight during shooting sessions like you would with any direct thread setup.
