Description

Gas to the face is the number one complaint about running a can on an AR, and the Dead Air CT5P Patrol was built from the ground up to fix it. The patent-pending Compact Triskelion baffle stack works together with Dead Air's Gas Management System to keep backpressure remarkably close to unsuppressed levels, which means your bolt velocity stays where it should be on both direct impingement and piston guns. Less gas coming back through the receiver also means fewer fumes in your eyes and lungs during long range sessions. Dead Air took what they learned from the Lazarus 6 and Sandman X lines and skipped the HUB interface entirely on this one, trimming length and weight while keeping point of impact shift minimal.

Duty-Grade Build Behind the CT5P Patrol

This suppressor is printed from Haynes 282 superalloy, a nickel-based material chosen for how well it holds up under serious heat. It carries a full-auto rating, has no minimum barrel length restriction, and has been tested to the SOCOM SURG standard, which is about as demanding as suppressor testing gets. It handles both 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC through its 6mm bore, and the flash and spark reduction is impressive even on barrels down to 10.5 inches, a real plus if you run night vision or shoot in low light. The high-temp black Cerakote finish shrugs off the abuse a working rifle dishes out.

Why the Xeno Mount Version Makes Sense

This configuration pairs the CT5P with Dead Air's Xeno quick-detach system and a 1/2-28 three-prong flash hider muzzle device. Set up Xeno adapters on a couple of rifles and you can swap the can between them in seconds, and the flash hider does its job just fine when the suppressor is off the gun. At 5.89 inches long and 14.3 ounces, it stays compact and light enough that your carbine still handles like a carbine. For a patrol rifle, a home defense setup, or a hard-use range gun, this is one of the most complete 5.56 packages Dead Air has put out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Dead Air CT5P Patrol gas me out on a direct impingement AR?

That is exactly the problem this can was designed to solve. The Compact Triskelion baffles and Gas Management System keep backpressure very close to what you get shooting unsuppressed, so bolt velocity barely changes and you get far less gas and fumes back at your face compared to traditional designs. It runs well on both DI and piston guns without needing an adjustable gas block.

Can I run the CT5P Patrol on a short barrel?

Yes, there is no minimum barrel length restriction on this suppressor. Dead Air designed it to knock flash and spark down to nearly undetectable levels even on barrels as short as 10.5 inches, so it pairs nicely with SBRs and large-format pistols in 5.56.

Is the CT5P Patrol compatible with HUB mounts like Plan-B or ASR?

No, Dead Air intentionally skipped the HUB interface on the CT5P to shave length and weight. This version uses the Xeno quick-detach system with the included 1/2-28 muzzle device. If you want to run it across multiple rifles, just add a Xeno-compatible muzzle device to each host.

Is this suppressor rated for full-auto and hard use?

It is. The CT5P is built from additive-manufactured Haynes 282 superalloy, carries a full-auto rating for 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC, and has been tested to the SOCOM SURG standard. That is a serious durability benchmark, so occasional high-volume range days will not faze it.
