This little insert is machined from heat-treated 4140 alloy steel and wears a QPQ black nitride finish, the same tough treatment Dead Air uses across their mounting systems. It handles heat and carbon buildup without complaint, and the finish keeps threads running smooth over years of mounting and dismounting. At just 0.765 inches long and 1.73 ounces, it disappears into the rear of the suppressor rather than hanging weight off the end of your barrel.
The beauty of the HUB standard is flexibility. This mount works with Dead Air cans like the Nomad-30 and Primal, plus the wide field of suppressors from other makers that accept 1.375-24 rear caps. Keep in mind the through-bore on this 9/16×24 version is sized for rifle calibers up to roughly .30 cal, so match it to the right host.
