The Daniel Defense M4A1 Upper Receiver Group (URG) is a complete AR-15 upper built around a 14.5 inch cold hammer-forged M4-profile barrel with a permanently attached flash suppressor pinned and welded to meet a 16 inch overall length. The two-piece RIS II free-floating rail system was developed for the SOPMOD Block II program and provides rigid support for mounted accessories while leaving the barrel free to achieve consistent harmonics. This upper ships with an M16-profile bolt carrier group and the ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle to accommodate left- and right-handed shooters.
