The slide profile has been reconfigured to accept CZ's proprietary optic plate system, so you can mount a red dot of your choice while still running the fiber optic front and HAJO adjustable rear sights when the plate is off. It's a versatile setup that lets you train with irons or compete with a dot without permanently altering the gun.
The frame and slide are hand-fit at the factory, which is one of the reasons this pistol is so easy to shoot accurately. Add in the longer 4.89" cold hammer-forged barrel, the low bore axis inherited from the CZ 75 platform, and that 46.5 oz steel frame, and you've got a gun that simply does not move much under recoil. The DA/SA trigger has been upgraded with refined components that give you a smooth double-action pull and a crisp, clean single-action break with a noticeably shortened reset. The magazine release is swappable and features an extended, adjustable button with three position settings so you can dial it in for your hand size and grip style.
Finish-wise, the entire pistol gets a nitride coating for solid corrosion resistance, and the frame picks up an additional layer of CZ's black Polycoat on top of that. The blue aluminum grip panels are thinly cut with healthy checkering, and that checkering continues across the front and backstrap of the frame itself for a consistent, locked-in feel throughout your grip.
This pistol ships with three 19-round nickel-plated magazines with extended basepads, which is a nice touch for anyone jumping straight into competition.
