Most competition pistols start life as a range gun and slowly get built up over time. The CZ P-10 F Competition-Ready flips that script by arriving with a factory-installed package of well-respected aftermarket components already in place. The 5" cold hammer forged barrel features a gold titanium nitride finish and a match-grade 9mm chamber with improved ramp geometry, both of which contribute to better feeding reliability and tighter groups downrange. That extra half inch of barrel and slide over the standard P-10 F also stretches the sight radius, which makes a real difference when you're chasing splits on a stage.
The trigger is the HB Industries Theta unit, a flat-faced aluminum design with minimal pre-travel and a crisp break in the 4.5 to 5 pound range. It's a genuine step up from the stock P-10 trigger, and it's the kind of upgrade most competition-focused P-10 owners end up making on their own anyway. Rounding out the controls package, the Apex Tactical extended magazine catch and ambidextrous extended slide stop are factory-installed, along with an Apex back slide cover plate. The slide itself is milled for optic mounting plates, so dropping on a red dot for Carry Optics division is a straightforward job. Three 19-round magazines ship with the gun, each wearing gold-anodized aluminum Henning Group baseplates that match the trigger and barrel finish.
The extra half inch of slide up front adds just enough muzzle weight to help the gun track well between shots, and the longer sight radius makes the fiber optic front sight noticeably easier to index at speed. The frame carries over everything that made the standard P-10 F a solid platform: aggressive stippling on the grip panels and front strap, a deep tang for a high hand position, an oversized trigger guard, and a Picatinny rail on the dust cover. Three interchangeable backstraps ship in the box so you can dial in the fit before your first range session. The gun slots naturally into USPSA Production, Limited, or Carry Optics, as well as IDPA divisions, and the optics-ready slide means it's ready for wherever you want to take it.
With iron sights it's a natural fit for USPSA Production and Limited divisions, as well as IDPA. Mount a micro red dot using one of the available adapter plates and it moves into USPSA Carry Optics or IDPA CO division. The 19-round capacity and full-size frame make it a competitive option in all of those divisions.
No, the optic mounting plates are not included. The slide is pre-milled to accept standard adapter plates from companies like EGW, Springer Precision, and others, but you'll need to purchase the plate specific to your chosen optic separately. CZ also sells their own steel mounting plates directly.
The Theta trigger is a flat-faced, aluminum unit with reduced pre-travel and a crisper break than the stock P-10 trigger. Pull weight runs in the 4.5 to 5 pound range at the factory. Spring replacements from CZ Custom or CGW can reduce pull weight further if you want to tune it for lighter competition use.
Yes. The Apex Tactical extended magazine catch on the Competition-Ready can be swapped to the right side for left-handed operation. The process takes just a few minutes and requires no special tools, keeping the gun accessible for southpaw shooters.
