When they are ready for more, any 455 or 457 magazine drops right in, from 5 rounds up to 25.
The 1/2×28 threaded muzzle is one of the best features on this rifle. New and young shooters tend to flinch at noise more than recoil, so running a suppressor makes those first range sessions a whole lot more pleasant and productive. Even unsuppressed, a five pound .22 LR bolt gun is about as gentle an introduction to shooting as it gets.
