Built as a direct replacement for the flimsy factory rod on your 26-inch Thompson/Center break-action muzzleloader, it pairs a solid aluminum shaft with a comfortable polymer palm rest that spreads out the pressure while you seat bullets. The .355-inch rod diameter drops right into T/C thimbles, so it stores under the barrel the way the original does.
The polymer handle threads onto a jag at one end of the rod and is designed to stay put on the gun while you carry and even while you fire. When it's time for a follow-up shot, the rod pulls free quickly so you can reload without fumbling. That screw-on knob seats snugly against the underside of the barrel, which keeps it quiet in the field and ready to go the moment you need it.
