The CVA Deluxe Muzzleloading Range Cleaning Kit rounds up just about everything a smokepole shooter needs into one canvas soft case with big storage pockets. The heart of the kit is the lifetime range cleaning rod with a fixed and swivel handle. The swivel end follows the rifling as you push a patch or jag down the bore, while the fixed end gives you solid, direct control for breech and smoothbore work. It uses a 10-32 threaded tip that works with the included brushes, mops, and jags, and fully assembled the rod reaches barrels up to 30 inches. You get bronze bore brushes and cotton mops in both .45 and .50 caliber (two of each), brass pierce-point jags, and a stack of 100 three-inch cotton patches for solvent work and wipe-downs.
Black powder and substitute fouling are corrosive and can chew up a bore fast if you let them sit, so this kit leans on Barrel Blaster bore cleaner to cut through powder residue, plastic buildup, and copper and lead deposits without being abrasive. A 10cc anti-seize grease is included for the breech plug, choke tubes, and nipples, and it holds up in a wide temperature range from deep cold to summer heat. That combo is what keeps a breech plug from welding itself in place after a season of hunting.
For the finicky spots, you also get a scraper, pick, and end brush with a rod handle, double-end bronze and nylon all-purpose brushes, brush pipe cleaners, a microfiber gun cloth, and a parts washer. It all tucks into the case's compartments so nothing rattles loose, and simple instructions come along if you're newer to muzzleloader upkeep.
