The Cascade XT is what happens when CVA takes their proven Cascade action and builds it out for the hunter who wants to stretch shots past where most rifles get uncomfortable. This version comes chambered in 6.5 PRC, a cartridge that has earned a loyal following for pushing high-BC 6.5mm bullets fast and flat with wind drift numbers that make long pokes on deer, antelope, and elk a lot more forgiving. The 24 inch barrel gives the PRC room to build the velocity it was designed around, and the 1:8 twist stabilizes the heavy match-style hunting bullets the cartridge does its best work with.
The heavier #5 taper profile is fluted to cut weight and shed heat, so groups stay tight when you send a string of shots checking zero or working up a load. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and wears a factory radial brake that takes real bite out of recoil, which matters more than people think when you are trying to spot your own impacts. Prefer a suppressor? Spin the brake off and you are set. The oversized tactical-style bolt knob gives you extra leverage for fast, positive cycling, even with cold hands or gloves, and the 70 degree bolt throw keeps your knuckles clear of the scope.
The fiberglass-reinforced synthetic stock comes in OD green with black webbing over a graphite black Cerakote barreled action, a combo that shrugs off weather and looks sharp doing it. Length of pull adjusts with a removable spacer, the single-stage trigger is user adjustable from roughly 2 to 4 pounds, and dual front swivel studs let you run a sling and bipod together. The receiver ships optics-ready with scope bases installed and accepts two-piece mounts made for Savage 110 AccuTrigger pattern rifles, so glass options are wide open. A detachable box magazine feeds the 2+1 capacity typical of magnum-width cartridges. For the money, this is one of the strongest values going in a long-range capable hunting rifle.

It also ships with a scope base installed, so you can bolt on rings and glass right away. If you want more elevation for true long-range work, a 20 MOA one-piece rail in the Savage pattern drops right on.
Yes. The 24 inch barrel is threaded 5/8×24, which is the most common thread pitch for 30 caliber and 6.5mm suppressors and muzzle devices. Just remove the factory radial brake and thread your can on. The heavier fluted barrel profile also handles the added weight of a suppressor well without going whippy.
The 6.5 PRC runs a fatter magnum-width case than something like a 6.5 Creedmoor, so fewer rounds fit in a flush-fit detachable magazine. The 2+1 capacity is standard for this class of cartridge in a hunting rifle. In the field, three rounds of a flat-shooting cartridge like the PRC is plenty for nearly any hunting scenario.
