The 6mm Creedmoor is one of those cartridges that makes long shots feel a lot less intimidating. It shoots flat, bucks the wind well, and barely pushes back, which is exactly why CVA chambered it in the Cascade Long Range Hunter. This is the Cascade built for the hunter who thinks in yardage, not footsteps, borrowing features straight from competition rifles without abandoning its roots as a field gun.
The 24 inch heavy-contour barrel is the heart of this rifle. It carries a number 5 profile for stability shot after shot, with fluting to trim weight back to something you can still pack around. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and wears a radial brake from the factory, so recoil on the already mild 6mm Creedmoor is close to nothing. Prefer a suppressor? Spin the brake off and you are ready to go. The barreled action is finished in Smoked Bronze Cerakote for real weather resistance, and the three-lug bolt runs a short 70 degree throw with an oversized knob that is easy to grab in a hurry. A 20 MOA Picatinny rail comes installed, giving your scope the extra elevation travel that distance work demands, and the trigger adjusts from roughly 2 to 4 pounds to suit your preference.
The synthetic stock is where this rifle separates itself from typical hunting guns in its class. The comb height adjusts with a simple thumbwheel so your eye lines up behind the scope naturally, and removable spacers let you tune length of pull for your frame. The forend is flat and wide, made to sit steady over a pack, bag, or tripod when the moment counts. Finished in graphite black with smoked bronze webbing, it looks as sharp as it shoots. Feeding comes from a flush-fit 4-round detachable magazine, and CVA backs the whole package with an MOA accuracy guarantee. For the money, there is not much else out there that shows up this ready for long-range work.
Yes. The 24 inch barrel is threaded 5/8×24, which is the most common thread pattern for 6mm suppressors and muzzle devices. The factory radial brake spins off easily, so swapping to a can takes just a minute.
No scope is included, but a 20 MOA Picatinny rail comes installed from the factory. That canted rail gives your optic extra elevation adjustment for stretching shots out past normal hunting distances. Just add rings and the scope of your choice and you are ready to zero.
It is. The single-stage trigger adjusts from roughly 2 to 4 pounds with a simple hex wrench, and it breaks clean right out of the box. Most owners find they do not need to touch it, but the option is there if you like a lighter or heavier pull.
The 6mm Creedmoor is a flat-shooting, low-recoil cartridge that excels on deer, antelope, and predators, and it doubles nicely for steel and target work at distance. Paired with the LRH's heavy fluted barrel and muzzle brake, recoil is soft enough to watch your own impacts through the scope. It is a great pick for newer long-range hunters and seasoned hands alike.
