Anyone who has spent a range day loading a muzzleloader knows the factory ramrod isn't always the friendliest tool to work with. CVA's Carbon Fiber Collapsible Ramrod fixes a couple of common gripes at once. It breaks down into four sections for easy packing, and the carbon fiber build keeps it light in the hand without giving up the stiffness you want when seating a bullet. If you shoot a CVA Paramount or an Accura LRX or MRX, this is a natural upgrade over an aluminum rod.
The standout feature here is the collapsible design. Instead of hauling around a full-length rod, you fold it down into four pieces that tuck into a range bag, pack, or hunting kit. When you're ready to load, it assembles to a full 25 inches of working length. Carbon fiber gives you a strong rod that shrugs off the flex and bend you get from cheaper rods, and folks who've swapped over from aluminum tend to notice the difference in rigidity right away.
The patented PalmSaver knob is more than a marketing name. It gives you a wide, contoured surface to push against so your palm and fingers stay clear of pinch points when you seat a tight projectile. If you shoot a lot of rounds in a sitting, your hands will thank you. The rod uses standard 10/32 threads, so you can spin on jags, brushes, and other accessories for cleaning duty when the shooting's done.
This ramrod is made to run with .40, .45, and .50 caliber CVA Paramount and Accura LRX and MRX muzzleloaders. It pulls double duty as both a loading rod and a cleaning rod, which makes it a handy single accessory to keep in your kit. For hunters who value packability and range shooters who want a stiffer, more comfortable rod, it's a straightforward improvement to your setup.
It's designed for CVA Paramount and Accura LRX and MRX muzzleloaders in .40, .45, and .50 caliber. It works as both a loading and cleaning rod for those models. If you shoot one of those rifles, it drops right into your routine.
The rod breaks into four separate sections so it folds up compact enough for a range bag or hunting pack. When you need it, it assembles to a full 25 inches of working length. That makes it a lot easier to carry than a fixed full-length rod.
Yes. The ramrod uses standard 10/32 threads, so it accepts common jags, brushes, and cleaning attachments. That lets one rod handle both loading and barrel cleaning.
Carbon fiber gives you a stiffer, more rigid rod than typical aluminum while staying light in the hand. Shooters who switch over tend to notice less flex when seating a bullet. It's a solid step up in feel and control at the range or in the field.
