Swapping the factory mag catch on a Glock Gen 1-3 or P80 is one of those small upgrades that pays off every time you reload. The Cross Armory CRGMCBL gives your thumb a bigger, better-placed contact surface so magazines drop free with a natural push, no re-gripping the pistol or hunting for the button under stress. It is machined from 7075 T6 billet aircraft aluminum, not cast, which means it holds up to hard use and repeated presses without wearing out like softer parts can. Cross Armory built this catch around a balance point that a lot of extended releases miss. It is long enough to speed up reloads and improve your thumb feel, but the profile stays low so it does not snag on clothing or gear when you draw. That makes it a legitimate option for a carry gun or a range blaster, not just a bench queen. The ramped geometry lets your thumb slide up from the frame onto the release surface smoothly, which is exactly what you want when you are moving fast.
This one covers a wide spread of Gen 1-3 Glocks: models 17, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 37. It also drops into P80 frames including the V2, C, and SC. If you are running a Polymer80 build or an older Glock, this is a straight replacement for the factory part.
Installation is a quick job with basic tools. You will pull the slide, use a pick to free the retaining bar inside the magwell, drop in the new catch, and reset the bar. Most folks have it done in a few minutes with an unloaded pistol and a set of safety glasses on.
It fits Glock Gen 1-3 models including the 17, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 37. It also works with P80 frames in the V2, C, and SC configurations. It is not designed for Gen 4 or Gen 5 Glocks, so double check your generation before ordering.
