Colt has been building short 5.56 carbines for professionals longer than just about anyone, and the Enhanced Patrol Rifle Gen II is the current refinement of that lineage. The LE6933-EPRII pairs an 11.5 inch threaded barrel with Colt's proven TDP-based construction, mil-spec materials, and the coatings and finishes that made the brand a fixture in duty rifle racks across the country. At roughly 32 inches overall with the stock collapsed range, it stays quick through doorways, easy in a truck, and comfortable to run all day without giving up the reliability Colt is known for.
The biggest upgrade over previous patrol rifles is the new Colt free-float handguard. You get a full-length MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny top rail for optics and irons, plus seven orientations of M-LOK slots so lights, lasers, and hand stops go exactly where you want them. Anti-rotation tabs keep everything locked in line, and two integrated steel QD sockets make sling setup simple. Free-floating the barrel also does real favors for accuracy, since nothing hanging off the rail puts pressure on the bore. The threaded muzzle means the EPR-II is ready to host a suppressor whenever you are.
Colt rounded out the package with the details that matter in daily handling. An ambidextrous safety selector works for lefties and support-hand manipulation, and the enhanced trigger guard leaves room for gloved fingers in cold weather. Magpul MBUS 3 folding front and rear sights come installed, so the rifle is usable straight out of the box and your backup irons are already sorted once you add glass. A Magpul MOE SL collapsible stock and A2 grip keep the ergonomics familiar and rugged.

Yes. The 11.5 inch barrel comes threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard pitch for 5.56 muzzle devices and suppressor mounts. Colt builds the EPR-II specifically to host a can, so you can swap the muzzle device for your suppressor mount of choice and get to work.
The standard EPR-II covered here comes with an ambidextrous safety, MBUS 3 folding sights, MOE SL stock, and A2 grip. The PRO version adds an ambidextrous mag catch, a Radian Raptor charging handle, Magpul MBUS Pro steel sights, a MOE K2 grip, and a QD receiver end plate. Both share the same 11.5 inch barrel and free-float M-LOK rail.
It ships with Magpul MBUS 3 flip-up front and rear sights already installed, so it is ready to shoot as-is. The full-length Picatinny top rail gives you plenty of room to add a red dot or LPVO later, and the folding sights tuck down flat to serve as backups.
Yes. The EPR-II uses a mil-spec magazine well and feeds from any standard STANAG-pattern AR-15 magazine, including aluminum GI mags and polymer options like Magpul PMAGs. One 30-round magazine is included in the box.
