This version pairs a 16 inch black Melonite barrel with receivers finished in Cobalt's signature CK Green, so it shoots as well as it looks. Chambered for .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 right-hand twist, it stabilizes everything from light varmint loads to heavier 77 grain match ammo.
The upper and lower are machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum with an integrated trigger guard, and the 6061 semi-monolithic handguard uses a seven-sided M-LOK layout that keeps the profile slim while leaving plenty of room for lights and accessories. Cobalt tops the 4150 CMV barrel with their RCB-6 muzzle device, a reduced-concussion brake that tames muzzle rise without hammering the people next to you on the line, and it doubles as a mount for Cobalt, CGS, and SpectreCat suppressors. The full-auto profile bolt carrier group runs an 8620 carrier and Carpenter 158 bolt with a billet extractor, which is the kind of parts selection you'd expect from a rifle at this level.
An ambidextrous safety lever and Radian Raptor LT ambi charging handle make the Pro Light easy to run left or right handed, while the single-side bolt catch and mag release keep the layout familiar for anyone coming from a standard AR. The enhanced single-stage trigger breaks clean, and the A5-length buffer system with Cobalt's anti-tilt buffer smooths out the recoil impulse noticeably compared to a carbine setup. A B5 Bravo stock, CK-Pro grip, and QD endplate round out the furniture.

Yes. The Pro Light is chambered for 5.56 NATO, which safely handles both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. The 1:7 twist barrel stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights, so you can run cheap 55 grain plinking ammo or heavier 69 to 77 grain match loads without issue.
It is. The included RCB-6 muzzle brake doubles as a mount compatible with Cobalt, CGS, and SpectreCat suppressor systems, so you can attach a compatible can without swapping muzzle devices. If you run a different suppressor brand, the brake can be replaced with your preferred mount.
The Pro Light is Cobalt's more streamlined take on the Pro series, keeping the billet 7075 receivers, M-LOK handguard, and quality internals while shaving weight and simplifying a few controls. It uses a single-side bolt catch and mag release paired with an ambi safety and Radian Raptor LT charging handle. You still get the same in-house machining and fit that Cobalt is known for.
It works well from the left shoulder. The 90 degree ambidextrous safety and Radian Raptor LT ambi charging handle cover the two controls lefties touch most. The bolt catch and mag release are single-side, standard AR positioned, so most left-handed AR users will already be comfortable with the layout.
