This is the Built version of Cobalt Kinetics' CK-Pro URG, a complete 13.7 inch 5.56 upper that shows up ready to run instead of asking you to source and fit your own barrel, bolt carrier, and charging handle. Cobalt's gunsmith team puts these together by hand and function tests every one before it ships, so what lands on your bench is a finished upper built to the same standard as their complete rifles, just without the lower half. Drop it onto a mil-spec AR-15 lower and you're looking at a real jump in fit, finish, and overall feel compared to a stock upper.

Inside The CK-Pro URG's Non-Rotating Upper

Cobalt built this upper around a proprietary receiver extension that locks the free-float handguard to the upper receiver with a 4-point, 8-screw TORX mounting system instead of relying on a barrel nut alone. The barrel nut itself is reverse threaded, which lets Cobalt machine the barrel extension seating surface to a tighter tolerance than a typical mil-spec receiver extension allows. The result is a rock solid, non-rotating platform that behaves like a monolithic upper without the usual downsides, riding under a 13 inch M-LOK rail that stays true to the receiver shot after shot.

What's Running Down The 13.7 Inch 5.56 Barrel

This build pairs a 416R stainless barrel with a mid-length gas system and a 1/8 twist, a combination that leans toward accuracy and long-term durability. It's topped with an RCB 3.0 muzzle device to help tame flash and muzzle rise, and Cobalt's full-auto rated bolt carrier group, with an 8620 carrier, 9310 bolt, and billet extractor, is already installed alongside a Radian Raptor LT ambidextrous charging handle. Everything wears the same FDE Cerakote finish from the receiver back through the handguard, so the whole upper looks and runs like one cohesive unit rather than a parts-bin build.
