Ever wish your AK fed like an AR, or your AR hit like an AK? That question is basically why the Mk47 exists. First introduced in 2014 under the Mutant name, CMMG's hybrid takes the AR15 manual of arms, ergonomics, and modularity and pairs it with the 7.62x39mm cartridge fed from conventional AK-pattern magazines. Instead of running finicky AR-style 7.62×39 mags with their steep feed angles, the Mk47 just uses the curved AK mags the cartridge was designed around, and reliability improves accordingly. A Magpul 30-round PMAG comes in the box so you're ready to go from day one.
Under the hood, the Mk47 is built on a mid-size receiver set derived from CMMG's Mk3 .308 platform, giving you a beefed-up bolt via CMMG's PowerBolt technology without dragging around full AR10 bulk. The result is a carbine that weighs in around 7 pounds with a 33 inch overall length, so it handles like a standard AR while pushing a harder-hitting round. The 16.1 inch medium taper barrel is 4140 chrome moly with a 1:10 twist, threaded 5/8×24 and capped with a ZEROED muzzle brake, running a smooth mid-length gas system behind a .750 gas block.
This Resolute trim doesn't leave you with a parts wishlist. CMMG fits it with a ZEROED drop-in single stage trigger, ZEROED pistol grip, 60/90 degree ambidextrous safety, ambi charging handle, and a polymer dust cover. The 6-position RipStock lets you snap the stock to your preferred length of pull fast, and the EML 15 inch free float handguard keeps things trim with M-LOK slots at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, skipping the full-length top rail to shave weight while leaving room for lights, sights, and hand stops. The whole rifle wears a Midnight Bronze Cerakote finish that looks as good in person as it does in photos.

Yes, and that's the whole point of this rifle. It accepts most conventional AK-pattern magazines, including steel surplus mags and polymer options like the Magpul AK PMAG. One 30-round PMAG ships with the rifle, so you have a proven mag right out of the box.
Not quite. It runs AR controls and ergonomics, but it's built on a mid-size receiver set based on CMMG's Mk3 .308 platform with a larger PowerBolt bolt for extra durability. That extra beef handles the 7.62×39 case geometry far better than a standard AR-15 receiver, while keeping weight around 7 pounds.
The barrel is threaded 5/8×24, which is a common thread pitch for .30 caliber suppressors and muzzle devices. The factory ZEROED muzzle brake comes off easily if you want to swap in a suppressor mount. Just confirm your can is rated for 7.62×39 pressures before you go shopping.
No iron sights or optics are included. The flat top receiver gives you a Picatinny rail for mounting a red dot, LPVO, or backup irons, and the EML handguard has an M-LOK slot at 12 o'clock up front if you want to add a rail section for a front sight. Most owners set this rifle up with a red dot or low-power variable and never look back.
