The 22 ARC cartridge is one of the more interesting things to happen to the AR-15 in years, and the CMMG Resolute Mk4 is a smart way to get into it. Following the same design approach as the proven 6mm ARC, this round pushes heavy .22 caliber bullets at velocities that rival the 22-250, except it runs through a standard AR-15 platform instead of a bolt gun. For coyote hunters, prairie dog trips, and anyone stretching steel past where 5.56 starts running out of steam, that combination is hard to beat.
CMMG builds this one right. The 16.1 inch medium taper barrel is 4140 chrome moly with a salt bath nitride treatment, cut with a 1:7 twist to stabilize the long, heavy bullets that make 22 ARC shine at distance. Muzzle threads are 1/2×28 with a ZEROED brake installed, and the adjustable gas block lets you fine-tune the system whether you're running it bare or behind a suppressor. The billet 6061 upper sits on a forged 7075 Mk4 lower, and the whole rifle comes in at a handy 6.4 pounds and 32.5 inches overall.
Instead of mil-spec filler, CMMG outfits the Resolute with its American-made ZEROED component line: a single-stage drop-in trigger, ambidextrous charging handle, ambi 60/90 degree safety, and ambi mag catch. The EML15 handguard runs M-LOK slots at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, trimming weight by skipping the full-length top rail while still giving you plenty of mounting real estate.
