Description
The .22 ARC cartridge has been turning heads since Hornady introduced it, and for good reason. It pushes fast .22 caliber bullets at velocities that used to require a bolt gun in 22-250, except it feeds and cycles from a standard AR-15 footprint. CMMG built the Resolute Mk4 around that idea, and the result is a 6.4 pound carbine that shoots flatter than most people expect from a rifle this handy. Coyotes, prairie dogs, and steel way out past where 5.56 starts to run out of breath are all fair game here.
What Makes This Resolute Mk4 Worth a Look
The barrel is a 16.1 inch medium taper made from 4140CM steel with a salt bath nitride finish, cut with a 1:7 twist that stabilizes the heavy, high BC bullets the .22 ARC was designed around. Muzzle threads are the standard 1/2×28 and CMMG tops them with their ZEROED muzzle brake out of the box. The adjustable .750 gas block is a smart touch, letting you tune the gas system for suppressed shooting or dial things in for a specific load. Up top you get a billet 6061 upper riding on a forged 7075 Mk4 lower, wrapped in the EML15 handguard. CMMG dropped the full-length Picatinny rail on this handguard design and went with M-LOK slots at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock instead, which trims weight without giving up mounting options.
ZEROED Controls and the RipStock, Standard
CMMG doesn't nickel and dime you on furniture. The Resolute ships with their ZEROED drop-in single stage trigger, ambidextrous charging handle, 60/90 degree ambi safety selector, pistol grip, and trigger guard, all made in the USA. The RipStock rides on a 6-position Fastback receiver extension with an ambi sling plate, and it snaps to your preferred length of pull the moment you shoulder it. Finished in Midnight Bronze Cerakote and fed by an included 10-round magazine, this rifle comes range-ready and is backed by CMMG's Lifetime Quality Guarantee. Add glass and ammo and you've got a serious flat-shooting carbine.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is .22 ARC and why would I want it over 5.56?
The .22 ARC is a Hornady cartridge that delivers ballistics in the neighborhood of the classic 22-250 while feeding reliably from an AR-15 platform. It launches high BC .22 caliber bullets fast and flat, holding energy and resisting wind drift well past where 5.56 falls off. If you shoot varmints or steel at distance, it's a real step up without moving to a heavier AR-10 size rifle.
Does the CMMG Resolute Mk4 come with sights or an optic?
No, it ships without sights. The flat-top billet upper and 12 o'clock M-LOK section on the EML15 handguard give you plenty of room to mount an optic, and given the long-range potential of the .22 ARC, most owners pair it with a quality LPVO or a magnified precision scope.
Can I run a suppressor on this Resolute Mk4?
Yes. The barrel is threaded 1/2×28, which is the most common thread pitch for .22 caliber muzzle devices and suppressors, so swapping off the included ZEROED brake is straightforward. The adjustable .750 gas block is a big plus here since it lets you dial down the gas to keep the rifle running smoothly and cleanly when suppressed.
Will standard AR-15 magazines feed .22 ARC?
Not the usual 5.56 mags. The .22 ARC is based on the 6mm ARC case, which has a wider body than 5.56, so it needs magazines built for that case family. CMMG includes a proper 10-round magazine with the rifle, and additional 6mm ARC pattern mags will handle the cartridge correctly.
