The ZEROED 30K takes everything CMMG built into the standard ZEROED 30 and trims it down to 5.5 inches and roughly 14.6 ounces, which makes a real difference on a 300 BLK pistol, a short-barreled carbine, or any setup where you want to keep the overall package handy. What you give up in length you keep in toughness. This is still a through-hardened 17-4 stainless steel can with a tubeless, laser-welded baffle stack and a combat load full-auto rating for centerfire rifle and pistol calibers, good for around 240 rounds between cooldowns.
Here is where the ZEROED 30K earns some goodwill. CMMG includes two HUB-compatible direct thread mounts, in 1/2×28 and 5/8×24, so most .30 cal and smaller hosts are covered the day it arrives. Since the can uses the industry standard 1.375×24 HUB pattern, you are also free to run whatever QD system or aftermarket mount you already prefer. The included mounts have 7/8 inch wrench flats and the welded front cap has a 3/8 square drive, so swapping mounts takes common tools from your bench, not a proprietary wrench you will lose in a drawer.
The black nitride finish is more than looks. It surface-hardens the steel against corrosion and blast erosion, and it holds up to nearly any solvent or an ultrasonic cleaner, which makes end-of-season maintenance about as painless as it gets with a sealed rifle can.
CMMG machines and welds every ZEROED suppressor in-house at their Missouri facility, and it shows in the value.
