Description

The CMC Triggers 92501 takes the frustration out of upgrading your AR. Instead of wrestling with tiny springs and pins, you drop the whole cassette into your lower, push in your trigger and hammer pins, run a safety check, and you're headed to the range. It's a single-stage curved trigger with a factory-set pull in the 4.5 pound range, tuned to break clean with almost no take-up and very little over-travel.

What Sets the CMC 92501 Apart

CMC machines the trigger and sear from S7 tool steel and houses everything in an 8620 alloy steel shell, holding tolerances of plus or minus .001 inch on every engagement surface. That precision is where the glass-smooth break comes from, and it's why folks who put this in describe an immediate, noticeable jump in feel over a standard GI trigger. The lightened hammer runs on a high-power rocket wire spring, which keeps lock time short and reliable ignition consistent whether you're feeding it commercial or surplus ammo.

Curved Bow and Fast Reset

The curved trigger shoe gives you that familiar, comfortable finger position most people grew up shooting, and it helps keep your press consistent shot to shot. Where this trigger really earns its keep is the reset. It's short and positive, so your finger doesn't have far to travel before the next round is ready. That translates to quicker, more controlled follow-up shots, which is a big reason this design became a go-to for duty and patrol builds as well as range guns.

Fitment for the CMC 92501

This assembly is built for AR-15 and AR-10 lowers that use standard small .154 inch trigger and hammer pins. It fits receivers made to mil-spec dimensions, with the known exception of Colt receivers that use a sear block. The pull weight is preset at the factory and not user-adjustable, so what you get is a dialed-in trigger with no fiddling required. A tip worth knowing: a set of anti-walk or anti-rotation pins is a smart pairing to keep everything locked in place over the long haul. Made in the USA and backed by CMC's lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the CMC 92501 fit my AR-15 lower?

It's designed to drop into AR-15 and AR-10 receivers built to mil-spec dimensions using standard .154 inch small trigger and hammer pins. The one notable exception is Colt receivers that use a sear block, which it won't work with. If your lower is a standard mil-spec receiver, you're good to go.

How hard is the CMC 92501 to install?

This is one of the easiest AR upgrades there is. The whole trigger group is self-contained, so you just drop the cassette in, install your trigger and hammer pins, and run a safety check. Most people have it done in about ten minutes with no fitting or gunsmithing required.

Can I adjust the pull weight on this trigger?

No, the 92501 is factory preset to roughly 4.5 pounds and is not user-adjustable. CMC tunes it at the factory for a clean, consistent break, so there's no fiddling with screws or springs. You get a dialed-in trigger right out of the box.

Should I use anti-walk pins with the CMC 92501?

It's a smart move. Anti-walk or anti-rotation pins help keep the assembly locked firmly in place and prevent the standard pins from working loose over time. They aren't required, but plenty of owners pair them with their CMC trigger for extra peace of mind.
