The CMC Triggers Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group is dialed in specifically for AR-15 rifles chambered in 6mm ARC, and it was built from the ground up with suppressors and short-barreled setups in mind. If you have run a can on a 6ARC build, you already know how much gas gets thrown back at you and how hard extraction can get. CMC addressed that with a redesigned carrier that adds mass to slow the timing down, increase dwell time, and give the bolt a cleaner, more consistent unlock.
The standout feature here is the flared rear on the carrier. That flare relocates the bearing surfaces to fight carrier tilt and cant during recoil, which keeps everything tracking straight and reduces wear over time. CMC also trimmed the contact points against the upper receiver, so there is simply less friction surface dragging on every cycle. Pair that with the enlarged forward gas ports that vent overpressure, and you get a carrier that runs noticeably calmer when suppressed.
CMC does not cut corners on the metallurgy. The carrier is machined from case-hardened 8620 steel, while the bolt is made from 9310 case-hardened steel and held to extremely tight tolerances around half a thousandth on critical outside dimensions. The cam pin is hardened 4340 steel and the firing pin is mil-spec 8740 steel. Every bolt is shot peened for fatigue strength, then high pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected so weak parts never leave the shop. A mil-spec extractor spring and O-ring round out the bolt assembly.
The black nitride finish ties it all together. It is a salt bath nitride treatment that hardens the surface, drops the friction coefficient, and gives you real corrosion resistance while making carbon cleanup far easier. Whether you are stretching a 6mm ARC out past 1,000 yards or running it hard and suppressed, this is a carrier group built to keep up. It is also cross-compatible with 6.5 Grendel and drops into standard AR-15 uppers, though it will not run in the CMMG MkW platform.
