The heart of it is a 22 inch, hand-lapped 416R stainless barrel wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber, free floated and match chambered with a 1:8 twist that stabilizes the long, heavy bullets the 300 PRC was designed around. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and wears a removable stainless side-baffle brake that takes real bite out of magnum recoil, and it swaps off easily if you'd rather run a suppressor.
FFT is Christensen's compression-molded carbon fiber process, and it trims up to a full pound compared to the original Ridgeline. The sporter-style stock uses a monocoque carbon shell with carbon bedding pillars, spot bedding, and an integrated recoil pad, and the weight savings carry through to the carbon fiber hinged floor plate and bolt knob. The payoff is a magnum rifle you can haul up a ridge all day without dreading the last mile, finished in black with gray webbing over a natural stainless barreled action.
The stainless action rides the familiar Remington 700 footprint, so scope bases and rings are easy to source. The spiral-fluted bolt runs on dual lugs with a Sako-style extractor and plunger ejectors, and the two-position safety lets you cycle the action to load or unload while staying on safe. A TriggerTech trigger breaks clean with a crisp, adjustable pull, which matters when you're steadying crosshairs on an elk across a canyon. The internal magazine holds three rounds of 300 PRC plus one in the chamber.
