Description
The Ridgeline Scout takes everything people like about the standard Ridgeline and squeezes it into a package you can swing inside a blind or slide behind the seat without a second thought. Christensen Arms wraps a 16 inch match-contour 416R stainless barrel in aerograde carbon fiber, so you get the stiffness and heat management of a heavier tube without lugging the weight around. The barrel is button rifled, hand lapped, free floated, and finished with a match chamber, which is a big part of why these compact rifles shoot well beyond what their size suggests.
Built Around a Serious Action
The receiver is precision machined in-house and coated in black nitride, paired with a skeletonized bolt handle and an oversized tactical knob that runs smoothly even with cold hands or gloves. The TriggerTech flat-shoe trigger breaks clean with almost no travel, and it feeds from AICS-pattern detachable magazines with a tactical mag release. A 10-round mag comes in the box. Up top you get a 0-MOA Picatinny rail ready for your glass, and out front there is a forward-mounted rail with a barricade stop for a bipod or shooting off cover.
Ridgeline Scout and Suppressors Get Along Great
The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and wears a removable 3-prong flash hider, so spinning on a can takes about a minute. With the short barrel, a suppressed 6.5 Creedmoor Scout stays handy instead of turning into a flagpole, which is exactly the point of this rifle.
Why the 6.5 Creedmoor Scout Makes Sense
The 6.5 Creedmoor gives up some velocity out of 16 inches, but it still carries plenty of energy for deer and hogs at practical hunting distances, with mild recoil that makes practice enjoyable. The tan carbon fiber composite sporter stock with black webbing uses stainless bedding pillars, spot bedding, and a recoil pad, and it shrugs off weather the way a wood stock never will. If you want one rifle that rides in the truck, hikes into the backcountry, and holds its own at the range, this one earns its keep.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Ridgeline Scout suppressor ready?
Yes, and it is one of the best reasons to buy this rifle. The 16 inch barrel is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with a removable 3-prong flash hider, so mounting a direct-thread suppressor or a mount is quick and simple. The short barrel also keeps overall length manageable once a can is attached.
What magazines does the Ridgeline Scout 6.5 Creedmoor use?
It feeds from AICS-pattern detachable box magazines and includes one 10-round mag from the factory. That opens the door to a huge aftermarket, including Magpul PMAGs and other AICS short-action magazines in various capacities.
Is the trigger adjustable on this rifle?
Yes. The Ridgeline Scout comes with a TriggerTech single-stage flat-shoe trigger that is user adjustable over roughly a 1 to 3.5 pound range. It breaks crisp with minimal travel right out of the box, so most owners set it once and leave it alone.
How does 6.5 Creedmoor perform out of a 16 inch barrel?
You will give up some velocity compared to a 22 or 24 inch barrel, typically a few hundred feet per second depending on the load. Even so, the 6.5 Creedmoor retains plenty of energy for deer-sized game at realistic hunting ranges and stays pleasant to shoot. For a compact rifle meant for the field rather than long-range matches, it is a smart pairing.
