Description
The MPR Rimfire is what happens when Christensen Arms shrinks its Modern Precision Rifle down to .22 LR without cutting corners. Same controls, same profile, same chassis feel, just cheaper to feed. The heart of it is a 20 inch carbon fiber tension barrel, precision lapped and button rifled with a 1:16 twist, and the muzzle comes threaded 1/2×28 so adding a suppressor or other muzzle device is a five minute job. Rimfire and cans are a match made in heaven, and this rifle was clearly built with that in mind.
A Chassis Rimfire That Folds Down and Packs Out
The chassis is machined from a solid block of billet aluminum, and the folding stock locks shut with MagneLock technology so it stays put in a pack or truck case. Comb height and length of pull both adjust, which means you can get proper eye alignment behind your optic whether you are shooting off a bench or teaching a new shooter with a shorter reach. The FFT carbon fiber handguard gives you M-LOK real estate for a bipod or barricade stop, and six QD flush cup mounts cover just about any sling setup you can dream up. Even with all that hardware, the whole package stays light enough to carry comfortably.
Familiar Parts, Smart Compatibility
Christensen made some smart choices here. The trigger is a Remington 700 style TriggerTech, crisp out of the box and easy to swap if you have a favorite. The grip is AR compatible, so your preferred pistol grip drops right in. Feeding comes from Ruger BX-1 magazines, arguably the most proven rimfire mag on the market, and one 10 rounder ships with the rifle. Up top, a 0 MOA Picatinny rail is ready for whatever glass you want to run.
Where the MPR Rimfire Earns Its Keep
This rifle fits a lot of roles. It is a legitimate NRL22 and precision rimfire competitor, an affordable training stand-in for a centerfire MPR, and a genuinely fun small game and range rifle. Backed by Christensen's sub-MOA guarantee, it delivers the kind of accuracy that makes a .22 LR feel like a much bigger deal than the ammo bill suggests.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Christensen Arms MPR Rimfire take Ruger 10/22 magazines?
Yes, it feeds from Ruger BX-1 pattern magazines, the same rotary mags used in the 10/22. One 10-round BX-1 comes in the box, and spares are inexpensive and available just about everywhere. Higher capacity BX-pattern mags will also run in it.
Is the barrel on the MPR Rimfire threaded for a suppressor?
It is. The 20 inch carbon fiber tension barrel comes threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard rimfire suppressor pattern. A suppressed .22 LR bolt gun is about as quiet and pleasant as shooting gets, so this rifle pairs beautifully with a can.
How adjustable is the folding stock on this rifle?
Both the comb height and length of pull are adjustable, so you can dial in your cheek weld behind an optic and fit the rifle to different shooters. The stock folds against the chassis and is held closed by MagneLock technology, which makes it easy to slip into a pack or compact case.
Can I swap the trigger or grip on the MPR Rimfire?
Yes on both counts. The rifle ships with a TriggerTech trigger built on the Remington 700 footprint, so aftermarket Rem 700 pattern triggers drop in if you want something different. The grip is AR compatible as well, so any standard AR pistol grip will fit.
