At its heart is a 26-inch target contour barrel, 416R stainless steel wrapped in aerograde carbon fiber, free floated, match chambered, and hand lapped. The 1:8 twist stabilizes the heavy match bullets that make 6.5 Creedmoor such a favorite at distance, and the removable stainless side baffle brake keeps the muzzle planted so you can spot your own impacts. Pull the brake off and the 5/8×24 threads are ready for a suppressor. Every one of these rifles ships with Christensen's Sub-MOA guarantee, so the accuracy is baked in before you ever open the box.
The Black Nitride treated receiver is machined with a full-length integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail, which means no separate base to work loose and plenty of elevation headroom for stretching past 1,000 yards. The spiral fluted bolt runs an M16-style extractor with dual ejectors, and the oversized fluted bolt knob makes fast cycling easy from awkward positions. Feeding comes from an AICS-pattern detachable box magazine sitting in machined billet aluminum bottom metal, and the enlarged ejection port keeps brass clearing cleanly. The match grade trigger breaks crisp in the 2.5 to 3.5 pound range, exactly where a precision rifle should be.
The carbon fiber composite long range stock is where this rifle separates itself from fixed-dimension competitors. You can. The side baffle brake is removable, and underneath you will find standard 5/8×24 muzzle threads that accept most 6.5mm and .30 caliber suppressors and aftermarket muzzle devices. The brake itself is also adjustable, so you can tune it if you prefer to keep it on.
It feeds from AICS-pattern detachable box magazines, which is the most common short action precision magazine standard out there. One magazine ships with the rifle, and spares from Magpul, MDT, Accuracy International, and others drop right in.
The carbon fiber composite stock adjusts for comb height, length of pull, and butt cant, so you can get proper eye alignment behind a big scope and a solid shoulder pocket in the prone.
