Christensen Arms made its name building carbon fiber wrapped barrels for hunters willing to spend serious money, and the Evoke is what happens when that same engineering team sets out to build a rifle for the rest of us. This Mossy Oak version pairs a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote barreled action with a Bottomland camo stock, a combo that blends into hardwoods and timber about as well as anything out there. Chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum with a 22 inch barrel, it has the legs for open country elk and mule deer while still handling fine in a treestand or shooting house.
The barrel is where this rifle earns its keep. It is a button rifled, hand lapped 416R stainless steel tube with a 1:9 twist, fully free floated in the stock and backed by Christensen's sub-MOA guarantee. The muzzle comes threaded 5/8×24 with a removable six port RFR brake already installed, which takes real bite out of 7mm Mag recoil and swaps off easily if you would rather run a suppressor. Behind it sits an adjustable TriggerTech trigger, the same crisp, no creep design you usually find on rifles costing quite a bit more.
The action rides on the familiar Remington 700 footprint, so scope bases, rings, and aftermarket parts are easy to come by, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped. The fluted bolt runs smooth with an oversized octagonal knob that is easy to work with gloves on, and rounds feed from a detachable 3 round MDT polymer magazine. Up front, a short Picatinny rail section sits flush in the forend tip, giving you a solid mount for a bipod or tripod clamp without snagging on brush.
At around 7.7 pounds bare, the Evoke is not a featherweight, but that little bit of heft steadies your hold and soaks up magnum recoil. Add the weather shrugging Cerakote and textured grip areas, and you have a 7mm Rem Mag that is ready to hunt the day you bring it home.

You sure can. The 22 inch barrel comes threaded 5/8×24, which is the most common thread pitch for magnum bore suppressors and muzzle devices. Just spin off the factory RFR brake and thread on your can. The brake reinstalls easily whenever you want it back.
Yes, the Evoke's action is built on the Remington 700 footprint, so standard 700 pattern bases and rings will work. The receiver comes drilled and tapped from the factory, and Christensen also offers a one piece scope base if you want a matched setup. That 700 compatibility opens up a huge aftermarket for future upgrades too.
More manageable than you might expect from a magnum. The factory installed six port RFR muzzle brake does a lot of work knocking down recoil, and the rifle's 7.7 pound weight helps soak up the rest. The stock design directs recoil straight back, so follow up shots come quicker than with lighter magnum rifles.
