Here's a detail worth noticing: the 1:7.5 twist rate. Most .270 Win barrels run a 1:10, which limits you to traditional bullet weights. The Evoke's fast twist stabilizes the newer heavy, high-BC bullets that have given this classic cartridge a second life for longer pokes at deer, antelope, and elk. Feeding those rounds is Christensen's proprietary three-lug action with a slick 60-degree bolt throw, which cycles quickly and gives your hand extra clearance under big scope bells. The receiver follows the Remington 700 footprint with 8-40 screw spacing, so mounting optics is about as easy as it gets. A user-adjustable TriggerTech trigger lets you dial the pull between 2.5 and 5 pounds to suit your preference.
The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with Christensen's RFR muzzle brake installed, which takes real bite out of the .270's recoil. Prefer to run a suppressor? Spin the brake off and thread your can right on. The stock includes an integrated Picatinny rail section on the forend for a bipod or light, plus a swivel stud for slings. At around 7.7 pounds bare, it carries comfortably on all-day hunts, and the 4+1 detachable box magazine makes loading and unloading at the truck quick and painless.
