The 25 Creedmoor has been turning heads for good reason. It pushes high BC quarter-bore bullets fast and flat with noticeably less recoil than the bigger short action magnums, and the Christensen Arms MPR is one of the best homes it could ask for. This version wears a 24 inch carbon fiber wrapped 416R stainless barrel with a 1:7.5 twist, which is exactly what you want to stabilize the long, heavy-for-caliber bullets that make this cartridge shine at distance.
The heart of the MPR is a folding chassis machined from 7075 billet aluminum. Length of pull adjusts from 12.5 to 14.5 inches, the carbon fiber cheek riser gives you a full inch of height adjustment, and the folding stock locks up solid with a magnetic latch that keeps it snapped shut in transit. Fold it and the whole rifle packs down small enough for a backpack scabbard or a truck case, which is a genuine perk whether you are headed to a match or up a mountain. The full-length carbon fiber M-LOK handguard free floats the barrel and gives you room for a bipod, barricade stop, or whatever else your setup calls for, and the 20 MOA rail up top leaves plenty of elevation for stretching way out there.
Christensen fits every MPR with a TriggerTech flat trigger, and it breaks clean with zero creep. The nitride-treated action runs on a Remington 700 footprint, the fluted bolt has a skeletonized handle with an oversized knob for quick, positive cycling, and it feeds from AICS pattern magazines with one 5 round mag in the box. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 with a removable side-baffle brake, so swapping to a suppressor takes about a minute.
At roughly 6.9 pounds bare, this rifle carries lighter than most chassis guns and still delivers on Christensen's Sub-MOA guarantee. Top it with quality glass and it is equally at home ringing steel past 1,000 yards or filling a deer tag in open country.
Yes. The muzzle is threaded in the standard 5/8×24 pattern and ships with a removable side-baffle brake. Spin the brake off and most .30 caliber and smaller suppressors or direct-thread mounts will go right on.
It fills the sweet spot between 6mm and 6.5 Creedmoor, launching high BC .25 caliber bullets fast and flat with mild recoil. That makes it a strong pick for long range target work as well as deer and antelope sized game at extended distances. The 1:7.5 twist on this barrel is built specifically for the heavier match and hunting bullets the cartridge favors.
The MPR feeds from AICS pattern short action magazines, and one 5 round mag comes in the box. Since the pattern is an industry standard, higher capacity options from makers like Magpul and MDT are widely available and drop right in.
It does. Christensen Arms backs the Modern Precision Rifle with their Sub-MOA guarantee, meaning it should print sub 1 inch groups at 100 yards with quality match ammo. The hand lapped, free floated carbon fiber wrapped barrel and TriggerTech trigger do a lot of the heavy lifting there.
