The 2 inch barrel and 6.75 inch overall length keep the whole package compact enough for a waistband, a jacket pocket, or a nightstand. The difference is the finish, with a turquoise anodized frame paired against a black stainless barrel and cylinder instead of the standard colors.
It does both. The Santa Fe Sky has a traditional exposed spurred hammer, so you can fire it double action with a straight trigger pull or cock the hammer first for a lighter single action break. That makes it more versatile at the range than hammerless double action only snubbies.
It weighs just 12 ounces unloaded, which is about as light as .38 Special revolvers get. The aluminum frame does the heavy lifting there while the stainless barrel and cylinder keep the wear parts durable.
