The Pitbull takes its cues from the classic Charter Arms Bulldog, and it shows in the stout, no-frills construction. The frame, barrel, and cylinder are 416 stainless steel with a matte finish that shrugs off sweat and weather, and the design locks the cylinder yoke directly into the frame rather than relying on a small retention screw. At 20 ounces and 6.75 inches overall, it carries easily but has enough heft to keep the .40's recoil manageable, helped along by the full-size finger-grooved rubber grip.
The double action/single action trigger gives you options: run it DA for quick defensive work or cock the hammer for a lighter, crisper single action press. Fixed sights keep the sight picture snag-free and simple, and the hammer block system means it only fires when you mean it to.
