The 3 inch barrel gives you a longer sight radius and a bit more velocity than a snub, while the whole package stays compact at just over 7 inches and light enough to carry all day. The black passivate finish keeps things low key and shrugs off wear, and the full-size black rubber combat grips soak up magnum recoil far better than the skinny panels you find on a lot of small-frame revolvers. Since it is chambered in .357 Magnum, you can also run .38 Special for cheaper, softer practice sessions.
