The Lasergrips have a pressure activation pad built into the front of the grip, so the red laser switches on automatically when you take a normal firing grip. There is nothing extra to fumble with under stress. The laser is user adjustable for windage and elevation, so you can zero it to your preferred carry load, and it runs on small watch-style batteries that are easy to replace.
