The barrel is threaded for the Beretta/Benelli Mobil choke pattern, which is one of the most common thread systems out there, so aftermarket options are easy to find. An extended ported XXF turkey choke comes included in the box. That means you can pattern it for turkey season without spending another dime.
No, this model has a 3-inch chamber, so stick with 2.75 and 3-inch shells. That said, modern TSS turkey loads in 3-inch have made 3.5-inch shells largely unnecessary for most hunters. In a 5-pound gun, you will appreciate skipping the 3.5-inch magnums anyway.
There is no way around it, a 5-pound 12 gauge has some thump with full-power turkey loads. The included choke is ported to help cut muzzle rise, and in a real hunting situation you will not notice the recoil on a bird. For patterning sessions, a slip-on recoil pad or lighter practice loads make range time a lot more pleasant.
