Every trip to the range starts with the same question: eyes and ears? This Champion combo answers both in a single package, pairing passive over-the-head earmuffs with a set of clear ballistic-rated shooting glasses. It's the kind of no-fuss kit that lives in your range bag and gets used every single time you shoot.
The earmuffs carry a 26 NRR passive rating, which is plenty to knock down the report from handguns, rifles, and shotguns at the line. They ride on a padded headband with soft ear cups, and folks who've worn them tend to mention how easy they are to adjust and how comfortable they stay over a longer session. The muffs collapse down for storage too, so they tuck into a bag without taking up half of it.
The glasses are the standout here. They use a one-piece wrap-around clear lens that's scratch resistant and rated for four times the impact protection of ANSI Z87.1, meeting the MIL-PRF-31013 3.5.1.1 ballistic standard. That's serious coverage for something this affordable, and the clear lens works well indoors and out. A molded nose piece and slip-resistant temples keep them planted while you shoot.
This is a natural pick for a first range kit, a spare set to keep in the truck, or a loaner for a friend or family member you're bringing out for the first time. The pink ear cups with a black headband make it easy to tell yours apart when everyone's gear ends up piled on the same bench. It's a lightweight, straightforward setup that does exactly what it needs to do, and nothing you don't need gets in the way.
If you shoot regularly and want protection that's ready to go without a lot of thought, this combo hits the mark for the money.
For most shooting, yes. The 26 NRR passive muffs are rated to handle the report from handguns, rifles, and shotguns. If you're shooting braked rifles or standing next to muzzle blast indoors, plenty of folks like to double up with foam plugs underneath for extra margin.
They are. The clear one-piece lens is rated at four times the impact protection of ANSI Z87.1 and meets the MIL-PRF-31013 3.5.1.1 ballistic standard. That's real coverage against flying brass, debris, and fragments at the line.
The muffs are adjustable and work well for most adults, though shooters with a bigger head or a larger build may find the fit on the snugger side. The glasses have a fairly universal wrap-around fit. If you wear prescription glasses underneath, keep in mind the shooting glasses aren't designed to fit over other frames.
It's one of the more popular first kits out there. Getting both eye and ear protection in one package takes the guesswork out of gearing up, and the price makes it easy to grab a set for a new shooter or a loaner. The muffs fold down for storage, so it travels well in a range bag.
